My god, there is simply no end to the depravity we human beings serve up for our children.

I’ve yammered here, before, about how horribly human beings treat their children. Today, I’m going to scream about it;  I simply can’t take any more of this.  All around the world, kids are raped, beaten, burned to death because they aren’t dressed right, sold as chattels, as fuck toys, conscripted into armies,  either to be used for butchery or fodder, married off to old men, forced to work as slaves or near slaves in industry…I mean, my god, it never stops. It never abates. It never slows down for a fucking minute, and why should it, I guess? They’re small, ignorant, weak, and completely powerless.

Any day you like, you can read in the news any number of grotesque abominations that adults visit upon kids, from Africa where they rape babies to prevent or cure AIDS, to the motherfucker living next door to you that beats his kids.  It simply never ends.  Even in non violent ways we fuck our children over. Look at the sad state of education in this country, for a perfect example. 

People…adults in general, and parents specifically…are supposed to take care of children. For one, children are the future in a literal sense, and they need to learn how to be reasonable, responsible adults.  That’s in everyone’s interest, no?   But children also instinctively look to their parents and to the adults around them, to help take care of them. What a violation of that trust, and of human morality, that we very often do just the opposite. Yes, morals are relative to the society and culture in which one lives, but there remains a certain moral quality, a certain  common trait to be shared by moral people, a moral patina, if you will, whatever their society and background: a sense of decency. 

It’s shameful and disgusting and it’s never-ending and just when I think I’ve heard of all the horrid things we can do to kids, I stumble upon another.

This is a one month old baby boy. No particular baby boy, just one I grabbed off the internet to show what one looks like.  He looks happy enough, well fed, cute…

What would you say about a man and a woman (I don’t know if they are the baby’s parents or not) who raped a one month old…one month old…baby boy, mind you, leaving him with internal injuries, of course, but they also beat him…yes, BEAT a one month old baby so badly that every rib was broken, his collar bone was broken, a broken arm and punctured lungs…OH, and the baby had a heart attack as well.  (He may live, they don’t know.)

This happened in England, but I’m here to tell you that this is an assault on humanity;  it’s an assault on the very definition of “human.”  There is no way that this baby will ever get any justice, even if he lives.  There is no way to exact any justice at all, and maybe if the baby lives, he’s so young, he may have a fine life in spite of this.

But if there is no justice to be had, there is a powerful lot of vengeance and retribution to be extracted with this couple’s pain, suffering and blood and of that, I am completely supportive.  These people should face elongated terror and pain, suffering and  ultimately death. I’m betting their screams would be even louder than the ones from the baby they destroyed.

Would torturing and killing these people, and any like them, be justice?

I don’t care.
